Well I missed one hell of a Twins' game last night. Johan put on a pitching clinic for the Texas Rangers. Through eight innings Santana only allowed two hits (both to Sammy Sosa) and struck out a team record 17 strikeouts. Only to be followed by closer Joe Nathan to strike out two more to make team history by striking out 19 as a team effort. One hell of a game and I missed it because I live in Florida and I don't get any Twins coverage here. GRRRRR
Michael Cuddyer provided the only offense for the night with a solo homer. But that was all Johan needed because he was LIGHTS OUT!!!
So if anyone gets the chance to see a replay of the game, do me a favor and don't tell me to rub it in.

Here I Am
I really don't have much to post about. Just kinda bored so I decided to type non sense. The MN Twins have been really sucking it up as of late. Can't seem to put together any type of offense. While the once unstable starting rotation is finally putting some really good innings together the offense can't help the pitchers get a win. Who knows where Johan Santana would be in the wins category right now if he had some run support. As well as Carlos Silva. Carlos' record looks horrendous from the lack of run support. So any of the frustrations that the starting pitchers may be feeling is well justified.
Now on to hockey. I NEED SOME HOCKEY!!! I think I am having withdrawals. Bad ones too. Can't wait for the Wild hockey season to start. We have a good core now and are still bringing up some good young talent. The trade of Manny Fernandez hurt but hopefully the players that we got will make an impact when they reach the NHL.
I guess you could say that I am kind of in a funk today. Twins suck, hockey hasn't started and Dale Jr. is on the verge of his season ending early and not making the "Chase For The Cup."
But one good thing about today is that I woke up to a quiet house and have a little time to be alone for a bit in silence. Boy is that a treat!! Having said that the kids will wake up and my time of peace will soon be gone. Damn that Murphy's Law.
But to all of my family that may read this, I miss you a ton. This Florida heat is killing me especially on the roof all day. Oh yeah speaking of work, I had my first work related injury on Thursday and had to get six stitches on my right bicep. I took a big chunk of skin outta my arm. About the size of a quarter all the way down to the fat. Wasn't a pretty sight but in a way it was kinda cool to look at. But for some reason every time I did I got a little light headed. Guess I'm not to good at seeing my insides.
Well I guess, until next time, farewell.
I am really trying to keep this thing up to date I PROMISE

We Lift Off
Well finally some good news to come out of Myspace. As I was browsing MSNBC for a picture of my uncle and his family as well as the piece that was written about him being shipped off to Kosovo, I stubbled upon a story of relief. 29,000 and counting sex offenders profiles were found and deleted. A number that was much bigger then expected. But in my opinion I hope that they continue to find more to keep our kids safe. I use myspace quite often in order to keep in touch with family and to find old friends. I feel it is a useful and entertaining experience but I fear some kids may be using it to "hook up" with people they don't know and that scares me because there is no telling who the hell those people are. But WAY TO GO MYSPACE!!! Keep up the work to keep the internet safer for our kids. I hope more good news is on the way

Why don't people realize
Too many times and too many people. I have run into this situation umpteen million times. People think that there is only one way to do things and only one way of going about getting people to do something. Yelling and screaming isn't the answer for everything. Try reasoning with people and talking like a human being. I have a boss that doesn't know any other way to handle things and he is never pleased. Always has to find something to gripe about even if you did do the task right. Then it is the case that it wasn't fast enough or it wasn't the right way to go about it. But then the next day you do something the way he said to do it the day before and that is still wrong. "The right way is the way you did it yesterday!!" It's getting old fast. Not to mention that I work with a bunch of druggies and ex-prisoners. Am I the only decent person left in this town that can put two and two together. Some of the guys that I work with shouldn't have past the third grade but guess what? They have GEDs or diplomas. It's boggling!!! And the ones that do have any sense lost all of their brain cells to a point that they can't even complete a thought. So yes, I am impressing the boss man and he wants to make me a foreman. But here lies the problem. It's not enough money to babysit these monkeys.
I got out of management so I wouldn't have to babysit anymore but here I am again babysitting 30 and 40 year olds. AAAArrrrrrgggggghhhhh! But on the good side I do get recognized for all the crap that I have to put up with just as a worker and have moved up the pay scale rather quickly. And I guess there is a sizable bonus for me this Christmas for doing what I do.
Regardless I just wish people would realize that there is more than one way to skin a cat.

Here we go again :)
Well for the second time in my life I will be a father. Initially I only wanted one child. That was the way I saw my future family but I saw that one child being a boy. My first child didn't quite turn out that way. I was given a beautiful baby girl. And of course she is a daddy's girl and I can't be thankful enough. So as life changes so do my plans. Now my future holds two children and by God this one better be a boy!!!!! So cross your fingers and buckle your seat belts this is going to be a bumpy ride. A pregnant woman in the house! I'm kinda scared just of that but hopefully all the torture and nagging will pay off with the delivery of a baby boy. And yes the name is already picked out. I and again I say "I" get to pick the name if it is a boy and the wife gets to pick the name if it's a girl. So come on buddy I know you are in there. LOL
